We are primarily concerned with preparing our children for future job markets, and in doing so, we are depriving them of critical knowledge for future decision-making. Our children must learn how to utilize geographic reasoning and geographic knowledge to better connect with their surroundings, whether they are deciding where to reside or what measures to take in the event of a natural disaster.
