A few years ago I joined an elementary school and was thrilled to find that my students fell in love with reading and storytelling, as well as being glued to their computers. I was surprised to find that the apps available to my students were the same ones I grew up with: writing and drawing tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Paint/Art. There was a dearth of great digital storytelling apps, so I set out to find something fun and engaging.
Let’s face it, there is a lot of useless stuff on the internet. But what about something that actively helps you learn? Whether you are a young learner or a seasoned adult, there are a lot of fun apps to help you tell better stories. In this article I will highlight 12 great digital storytelling apps that can help you develop a better narrative.
